I thought this was happening each time I booted up but everything was fine when I booted up this morning but my laptop went into sleep mode and when I woke it up, it was showing my monitor as the default audio My laptop but it doesn't stay as the default. My monitor doesn't even have a sound card so when this happens I obviously have no sound. I recently updated the audio drivers on my laptop which were set to the default but the default keeps changing to my monitor.
